Work in Progress - Department of Education’s Landscape Review of the Education Authority (June 2022): Progress report on implementation of recommendations

We are currently undertaking work in order to produce this publication. Details of when we aim to publish the finalised report are indicated below.

In March 2021 the Department of Education (DE) commissioned a review of the Education Authority (EA). The DE published a Report on a ‘Landscape Review’ of the EA in June 2022 which included 13 recommendations signalling the need for significant transformation.

 

Our report will consider the progress made by DE and EA on the implementation of the Landscape Review’s recommendations.  It will consider: 

  • The actions planned by DE and EA to address the report’s recommendations;
  • The governance and reporting arrangements put in place to ensure successful implementation;
  • The progress made to date on implementing the recommendations; and
  • Any evidence of positive change being delivered by the actions taken to date. 

 

We will make recommendations for improvement where appropriate.

 

We aim to publish the report by March 2026.
