Work in progress - City and Growth Deals

We are currently undertaking work in order to produce this publication. Details of when we aim to publish the finalised report are indicated below.

The NI City & Growth Deals initiative provides for a £1.3billion capital investment in Northern Ireland funded jointly by UK Government and the NI Executive.  The Deals bring together the UK Government, the NI Executive, Local Government, Central Government, Universities, Further Education Colleges and other partners to deliver transformational investment aimed at supporting sustainable economic growth, improving employability and skills, strengthening innovation and regenerating communities across all regions. 

This study will examine and assess the governance and accountability arrangements in place for the NI City and Growth Deals, with a particular focus on overall Deals progression and how public expenditure is being managed across central and local government. 

We aim to publish in June 2026.
