Director
Suzanne Jones started her career with Grant Thornton as a trainee chartered accountant in 2000. After qualifying with CAI (Chartered Accountants Ireland) in 2004, Suzanne worked for a number of organisations including PricewaterhouseCoopers and CIPFA, specialising in providing audit and consultancy services to public sector clients.
Suzanne has been employed by the NIAO (Northern Ireland Audit Office) since 2010 and is currently a Director. She has a wide and varied portfolio which includes responsibility for the delivery of operational audit work as well as data analytics and IT audit. Suzanne is also the technical director for NIAO, a member of the UK’s Public Audit Forum, the Chair of Audit Wales’ Quality Assurance Committee and a part time lecturer on the public sector elective of Chartered Accountants Ireland’s (CAI) professional accountancy qualification.
In her spare time Suzanne likes to spend time with her two children and enjoys walking, yoga, eating out and travelling.
